Software Developer

A Software Developer is responsible for the development, design and implementation of new or modified software products.
Typically sitting within the IT team of a business, a Software Developer will be involved in liaising with the Business Analysts and Development Managers to ensure software projects implementation meet requirements.


  • Work closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts to design algorithms and flowcharts
  • Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications
  • Integrate software components and third-party programs
  • Verify and deploy programs and systems
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
  • Gather and evaluate user feedback
  • Recommend and execute improvements
  • Create technical documentation for reference and reporting

  • Ability to learn new programming languages and technologies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude
  • Attention to detail
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
